DOMSAI began as a desk pet: a fine ceramic figure - a dog, a pair of short legs, a pair of long ones - topped by a Pyrex dome that shelters a cactus or succulent requiring almost no care at all. Matteo Cibic designed it as a companion object, something between creature and terrarium, loyal and a little absurd.

For this edition, six Salotto residents - Dario Spinelli, Lorenzo Fanton, Emiliano Ponzi, Vittorio Perotti, Marco Rosella, and Giulia Zoavo - were each given the dome as a surface. What they drew on it is the collaboration: six graphic sensibilities applied to the same Pyrex shell, the same ceramic body, the same quiet plant inside.

The base sets the character. The drawing sets the person.
The succulent, as always, does whatever it wants.
