Immersed in the book’s tale, he discovered a world where tiny creatures called Minpins lived in the forest, coexisting harmoniously with nature and spreading joy wherever they went. This spirit of fantasy and adventure gave life to the Minpin collection.

The collection includes bowls, vases, trays, centerpieces, and even a lamp, playfully adorned with cartoon-like little hands and feet. The idea was to create a collection of objects in which a platonic solid (metal) is floating in the air on a colorful transparent jelly (resin). The color and its reflections are changing the shape of the volumes, and it turns them into magical objects. The single modules can be used as containers, vases, small temples, or sculptures.

Working with colors and their juxtapositions, Matteo Cibic has created a truly outstanding universe of unique and sophisticated pieces. While designing the collection, he took his inspiration from the slender and faded paws of the Nazca Booby, a particular South American specie of birds, hence the name of the collection designed for Scapin Collezioni under the artistic direction of Studio MILO: Nazca Booby collection. The search for ancient mysteries, shapes and animals coming from remote and mysterious lands, inspired Cibic to create a collection that stands out for the lightness of its elements and for the unique use of faded lacquered surfaces.
